Terms of service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement, and accept these Terms in full.

If you are using the Service on behalf of a business or organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms, and references to "you" include that entity.

2. Service description

Welon is a platform that helps short-term rental owners and managers coordinate tasks and staff, keep track of supplies, and look after the maintenance of their properties. The specific features available to you depend on the subscription plan you have selected.

We reserve the right to modify, add, or remove features of the Service at any time. Where changes materially reduce the functionality included in your current plan, we will provide reasonable notice.

3. Account registration and security

To use the Service, you must create an account with accurate and complete information. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised access or security breach
• Keeping your account information current and accurate

We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account credentials.

4. Subscription and billing

Access to paid features requires an active subscription. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis according to your selected billing cycle (monthly or annual). Payments are processed by Stripe.

• Automatic renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date
• Cancellation: you may cancel at any time through your account settings; access continues until the end of the paid period
• Refunds: we do not offer refunds for partial billing periods except where required by applicable law
• Price changes: we will provide at least 30 days' notice before changing subscription prices; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance
• Free trial: where a free trial is offered, it is available once per account; converting to a paid plan before the trial ends will begin billing immediately

5. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

• Use the Service for any illegal activity or in violation of third-party rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, its systems, or other accounts
• Upload or transmit malware, viruses, or other harmful code
• Scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data from the Service
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercialise access to the Service without our prior written consent
• Use the Service in a way that disrupts or degrades performance for other users

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these restrictions without refund.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of any content, data, or information you submit to the Service ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display it solely as necessary to operate and provide the Service.

You are responsible for ensuring that Your Content does not violate any third-party rights or applicable law. We do not review Your Content proactively but reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including all software, design, text, graphics, and branding, is owned by Welon or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property beyond the limited licence to use the Service as described herein.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Welon and its affiliates, officers, and employees shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising under or related to these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties or limitations on liability: in such cases our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components.

We are not responsible for the actions or omissions of your staff, contractors, or third parties using the Service under your account.

10. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting your account through the account settings.

We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you breach these Terms, fail to pay amounts due, or if continued access creates legal or security risk. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before termination where possible.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. You may request an export of your data before account deletion; data is retained for 90 days after deletion to allow recovery.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with Greek law. The courts of Athens have jurisdiction over any disputes arising under these Terms, unless mandatory consumer protection law provides otherwise.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will provide notice of material changes via email or an in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.

Continued use of the Service after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and cancel your subscription.
